Creating a MyCanvas family history book means making a beautiful heirloom that will be cherished for generations to come. If you are new to the process, beginning the journey can seem intimidating. How do you get started? What stories should you include? How do you find the time?

Lynn Palermo, the Armchair Genealogist, is hosting a course this fall that will address those concerns and more as she shares how to organize, create, and print a legacy book using MyCanvas’ free, online software.

Legacy Book Course Description:

Learn to create a legacy family history book your family will cherish for generations to come.  Through the use of the software program MyCanvas, students will learn to create an all-encompassing family history legacy book. Combine narrative stories, pictures, documents and charts to create a beautiful coffee-table style book. Students receive weekly video demonstrations along with written articles and links and examples to help them visualize their book and organize and write their stories.

Download the lessons each week, ask questions in the forum (two teachers available to help you build your book), or download the lessons each week and work on your book in your own time.
