Since we’re so close, we’re going to begin a countdown to help you prepare for RootsTech and for meeting us there! On our social media, we’ll be updating you with MyCanvas news and tips about the event. We want you to be prepared for this incredible annual event!

What is RootsTech?

RootsTech is a global conference celebrating families across generations, where people of all ages are inspired to discover and share their memories and connections. Hosted by hosted by Family Search, it has become one of the largest genealogy conferences in the world! It’s a great chance to learn more about genealogy and technology.

Many companies will be there, such as Family Search, Ancestry.com, FindMyPast, and more! All of them will offer services to help you build and show off your genealogy. If you’re passionate about family history, or just want to know more, consider registering while you still can!

Where and When is RootsTech?

RootsTech will take place at the Salt Palace Convention Center in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. The conference will last from Feb. 28, with doors opening at 9:30 am, to March 3. That Saturday, by the way, is Family Discovery Day–a day you can bring everyone along for family history exploration.

Make sure that you watch the general sessions every day! If you can’t make it to the event at that time, it’s okay–RootsTech will stream the events. You won’t have to miss a thing!
